LIGHTSVIEW ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND

Public BBQ

Lightsview Adventure Playground opened in 2021 as an ambitious community facility but faces maintenance challenges. The playground features impressive elements including a massive nest swing, trampolines, slides, and a sandpit. A basketball half-court and soccer oval cater to older children, while undercover BBQ areas provide family gathering spaces. However, the water play feature hasn't functioned for two years, and inadequate shade makes daytime use uncomfortable. Toilet conditions often disappoint visitors. Despite these issues, when operational, the varied equipment suits preschoolers to teens. The deteriorating maintenance undermines what could be an exceptional playground. Parking proves tricky on weekends. The unfenced design requires vigilant supervision of younger children.
